The 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) is gearing up to mark its 65th anniversary with an array of fresh features and a return to beloved locations across Fort Lauderdale. From October 30 to November 3, this iconic event will once again highlight the region’s deep-rooted love for boating and yachting, drawing enthusiasts and industry experts alike.
Andrew Doole, President of the U.S. Boat Shows division of Informa Markets, expressed the team’s dedication to enhancing this milestone event. “FLIBS continues to be a cornerstone of the marine calendar, and with growing interest from exhibitors, we’re excited to welcome guests back to our docks,” Doole said.
This year, all FLIBS tickets are available exclusively online, and attendees are encouraged to secure theirs in advance, as there won’t be an on-site ticket office. A portion of ticket sales will support the Water Revolution Foundation (WRF), this year’s official community partner, in its mission to identify and protect vital marine habitats through the Important Marine Mammal Areas (IMMAs) program. This initiative, backed by the IUCN, works to preserve ecosystems across the Northwest Atlantic, encompassing key boating destinations like the U.S. East Coast, the Bahamas, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean.
The Broward County Convention Center returns as the official transportation hub for FLIBS 2024, with 3,000 parking spaces available at a flat daily rate of $20. Guests can conveniently travel between show venues using water taxis, shuttles, and golf carts, courtesy of ICON Electric Vehicles. Inside the Convention Center, attendees will find a range of boats, from fishing vessels and runabouts to cruisers, as well as marine accessories, diving gear, and personal watercraft.

FLIBS 2024 also brings several exciting new features to the lineup:
– The Windward VIP Club has moved to the Hall of Fame Marina, offering an upgraded luxury experience with exclusive access to celebrity guests, gourmet food, an open bar, and Sunday brunch.
– An Expanded Designers Pavilion at Superyacht Village will showcase even more cutting-edge yacht designs and luxury innovations.
– Enhanced Spaces at Pier Sixty-Six and Las Olas Marina will display the latest vessels and products, with Pier Sixty-Six also hosting the largest yachts at Superyacht Village.
– Improved Transportation Options include additional water taxi stops and increased availability, making it easier for attendees to explore all seven show locations.
As the world’s largest in-water boat show, FLIBS not only celebrates boating innovation but also contributes significantly to the Fort Lauderdale economy, supporting small businesses and boosting tourism. Drawing over 100,000 visitors annually, FLIBS generates an impressive $1.79 billion in economic impact for the region. Phil Purcell, CEO and President of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, praised FLIBS for its lasting influence on the marine industry and the community. “This 65th anniversary is a moment to reflect on FLIBS’s legacy in shaping South Florida’s boating culture and supporting its economy,” Purcell noted.
