Beloved French fashion designer, photographer, and Creative, Artistic & Image Director of Celine Hedi Slimane has tapped American singer-songwriter, poet, and artist Bob Dylan to feature in his latest “Portrait Of” series for Celine. Renowned for his ability to capture edgy, raw, and provocative imagery, Slimane has also photographed notable artists and musicians like Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, Paul Banks, and Martin Rev in his recent images within the “Portrait Of” series. Slimane’s keen eye for creating images that transcend boundaries and challenge societal norms has driven the content of his series, and Bob Dylan’s recent “Portrait Of A Musician” is a testament to his work.
Slimane photographed Dylan, capturing his eclectic energy as one of the world’s most influential and groundbreaking artists through exclusive images taken in Malibu in December of 2022. What is particularly striking about the Celine portrait series is how Slimane embodies the essence of each subject behind the lens. Each portrait is a mini-masterpiece, expertly composed and carefully lit to draw attention to the subject’s most striking features. The “Portrait Of A Musician” with Dylan consists of two black and white portraits with Dylan wearing Celine Homme, with his guitar in hand, of course. In fact, Slimane’s use of black and white photography adds to the sense of intimacy and depth, creating a connection between the subject and the viewer.

There’s no denying that Slimane’s portrait of the legendary rockstar will live through generations ahead, blending the music, artist, fashion, and photography industries.
