Alexander McQueen debuts their Slash Bag, a statement piece from their PRE-SS23 Collection, with a dystopian-themed film starring Kaia Gerber. Known for its revolutionary and boundary-pushing designs, the luxury fashion house upkeeps its repertoire by showcasing the juxtaposition between humanity and technology in the campaign film directed by Glen Luchford.
The campaign explores human emotion with Gerber walking through an eerily futuristic landscape holding the red leather clutch. In a meta-like universe, the model is seen strutting through idle corridors and makes her way to a white space with four prosthetic heads before finding herself in front of her own prosthetic face, where she then quietly cries. The room then goes black after Gerber’s prosthetic face opens its eyes. The film is synonymous with Creative Director Sarah Burton’s pioneering and innovative vision for the brand.

New for the Spring/Summer 2023 collection, The Slash Bag carries many signatures the house is known for, like the iconic McQueen Knuckle hardware and skull motif. Crafted in padded leather, the sharply cute, slashed body is inspired by the house’s sliced and slashed tailoring. The bag, shown in red, is also available in white and black colorways.
