Genius Gn! Designer Andrew Gn Shares His Favorite Looks From Recent Collections

Andrew Gn is one of those rare, old-school fashion designers. The Paris-based Singaporean is known for his dazzling gowns, and to say that he is one-of-a-kind is a complete understatement. He—and his clothing—is 100 percent unique, extraordinary, and sublime.
What makes Gn so lovable is that he’s friends with the women he dresses. While some designers are buddies with celebrities, Gn specializes in befriending real women—mothers, sisters, CEOs, and founders—and he knows his customer better than he knows himself because he’s always interacting with her.

Case in point: two times a year, Gn, and his current collections pay a visit to San Francisco. While here, he hosts a trunk show, attends a whirlwind of parties and hangs out with his gaggle of gal pals—many are pictured on this page wearing his designs. He also does this in other cities like Chicago and Dallas.
On his spring trip to the Bay, Haute Living sat down with Gn for an exclusive look at his most recent designs. He uses four words to describe Fall 2019: “sexy, sensual, and Suzy Wong. I wanted a modern East meets West mood and thought of a 60s movie called The World of Suzy Wong. Suzy Wong is feminine and strong, but sexy and elegant at the same time.”
Here, we share some of his best looks and Gn’s take on each one.
