If you’re staying in L.A. this holiday weekend, here are five unique ways to celebrate the 4th of July!
4th of July in the Sky
Celebrate the 4th of July In the Sky! Enjoy one the most scenic views of multiple fireworks displays in Southern California with a ride on the Skyslide, a 45-foot, fully-enclosed, all-glass adventure landing on the exterior of the iconic US Bank Tower. Ride nearly 1,000 ft. above Downtown LA to experience the city from an entirely new perspective. With fireworks surrounding you in the see-through slide, this is the ultimate for adventure-goers on Independence Day. The experience also includes two drink tickets and access to all levels of OUE Skyspace LA.

Gourmet BBQs at Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air and Conservatory WeHo
Foodies, get your gourmet on this 4th with Wolfgang Puck at his eponymous eatery at the Hotel Bel-Air. The restaurant will be doing a Texas-style BBQ from 5:30PM – 10PM (with additional costs for wine/beer pairings). Meanwhile the gorgeous Conservatory in West Hollywood will be making it festive and grilling in its fire pit area. Guests can choose items grilled by Executive Chef Seth Greenburg that will come with a choice of protein like Kalbi ribs, baby back ribs, carnitas slider and chicken kabobs. The cocktail menu will include Bloody Mary’s, mimosa flights, Michelada’s (offered three ways), frosé, and frozen margaritas. There will be a beer activation station and a slow & low whisky station as well.

If fireworks are your favorite thing about the 4th, AmericaFest should be your chosen destination. The 93rd annual celebration, held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, offers one of the largest fireworks displays in Southern California. There’s plenty to do for adults (tailgating begins at noon in the parking lot) and kids (the Family Fun Zone includes activities, games, and contests) alike before the display you’ve been waiting for lights up the sky in style.
