Tom Ford Is Inducted Into The Fragrance Hall Of Fame At The 2019 Fragrance Foundation Awards

As expected of any event Tom Ford attends, the 2019 Fragrance Foundation Awards—a ceremony which celebrated the extraordinary talent and achievements in perfumery—was a glamorous, star-studded affair.

The annual event, hosted by award-winning actress Jane Krakowski, was held on Wednesday night at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City and attended by talent such as singer, songwriter and Grammy Nominee Bebe Rexha, actress Michelle Pfeiffer and her husband David E. Kelley, designer Jason Wu accompanied by model Martha Hunt, model Nick Youngquest, model Luma Grothe, DJ, author and founder of HBFIT Hannah Bronfman, supermodel Maria Borges, supermodel, CoverGirl and dietitian Maye Musk, and editors Glenda Bailey, Jessica Pels, and Carine Roitfeld.

As part of the special evening, award-winning fashion designer, film director, screenwriter, and film producer Ford, was inducted into The Fragrance Foundation Hall of Fame. Actor Henry Golding of “Crazy Rich Asians” was there to present Ford with the honor. The room erupted in applause as Ford took the stage to accept his honor.

Dominique Ropion, Master Perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (IFF), was celebrated as the 2019 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement, Perfumer Award. In addition to being honored for masterful work, Ropion showcased his talent first hand for guests by creating a bespoke luxurious floral fragrance to scent the event during the cocktail hour.

The Founder of NEST Fragrances, Laura Slatkin, was recognized as this year’s “Game Changer.” Harry Slatkin, Laura’s husband, presented her with the award with a heartfelt speech about her hard work and immense impact on home fragrance and on autism – a cause near and dear to her and her family. Slatkin came out to a standing ovation as she accepted the award from her loving husband. The Fragrance Foundation also announced its new Give Back initiative which will support NEXT for Autism.
