She’s back! “The Hills” (and its stars) are alive and well on MTV now that the hit series has returned to MTV nine years after it ended (and minus a few major cast members, like Lauren Conrad). But Audrina Patridge IS a returning cast member, and she celebrated the premiere of her revamped series, “The Hills: New Beginnings” on Monday night with an intimate Margarita Monday cocktail party presented by Cointreau and Bumble last night at The Hollywood Roosevelt. We chatted with Patridge, who’s now a mom, about what she learned by returning to film the series and scored her now not-so-secret recipe for how to make her favorite signature Cointreau Margarita, which you can now make at home during your own “Hills” viewing parties (because come on, we know you’re going to have them!).

1. You gain a lot of wisdom in nearly 10 years, I was so young when the show first aired, and have lived all sorts of life since then.
2. Now that I have a daughter, who is truly my purpose, you learn to do everything you can to protect your child. Motherhood has been an incredible new chapter for me, and it makes me realize how much I have grown since the original show.
3. My “Hills” family really has been such a source of strength throughout my life, especially most recently during my divorce and some challenging moments. It has made me appreciate them and the opportunity to appear on the show even more than before. It’s special to have friends support you in the ways you need most.
4. Sometimes life can be heavy and filming has made me learn to really try to relax more and have fun, be flirty, and enjoy the moments I’m in at that exact time.
5. It has been wild to share motherhood with some of the gals from the show, I never would have dreamed we’d all be moms together at the same time! Whitney, Ashley and Heidi all have great parenting advice, so it’s been fun to exchange tips and be a listening ear for one another.

With “The Hills: New Beginnings” airing every Monday night, I love getting together with my friends to mix up my favorite summer cocktail, The Original Margarita with Cointreau, which is the perfect way to celebrate Margarita Monday. It instantly elevates any gathering with friends, and can turn even an ordinary Monday into something special.
