Although there was hope that this year’s Outside Lands would attract the likes of a major star like Lady Gaga or Beyonce, that won’t be the case come August. Another Planet Entertainment and Superfly, the companies behind the festival, have just announced this year’s lineup. Headliners include Paul Simon, Childish Gambino, Twenty One Pilots, The Lumineers, Flume, Blink-182, Kygo, Anderson, Paak & the Free Nationals, Leon Bridges, Lil Wayne, and Kacy Musgraves.

Tickets for the three-day music festival, which takes place August 9 to 11 in Golden Gate Park, go on sale this Thursday, March 28 at 10 a.m. New this year is the Golden Gate Pass, a VIP three-day ticket that includes separate entrances, viewing areas, hospitality options, and access to the new Golden Gate Club, a very VIP section that has all-inclusive alcohol and specialty snacks.

While the musical acts are definitely a huge part of the festival, Outside Lands is more than just a three-day concert. It truly is a celebration of everything that makes the San Francisco Bay Area unique, from food and wine to cannabis and comedy. This announcement is the first of many more to come including the culinary talent set to perform at Gastro Magic, the dedicated food stage, as well as the local restaurants, bars, and wineries who will set up shop during the weekend. Wine Lands, Beer Lands, Cocktail Magic, Bubble Tea party, Cheese Lands, Outside Clams are some of the dedicated culinary areas that are as much a draw as Simon and Gambino.

In 2018, Outside Lands launched D.A.V.E., Discussions About Virtually Everything, lively conversations with luminaries like Bill Nye and Gavin Newsom. D.A.V.E will return this year as will The Barbary, the comedy stage, and Grass Lands, the area where concertgoers can learn about all things cannabis. Stay tuned for more details as they are released.
