Prestige Imports‘ beloved philanthropic event, Ride2Revive, hosted its 8th annual celebration this year at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, reviving the senses of terminally-ill children through the power of super automobiles. Together with its partners, Prestige Imports provided a day of fun for more than 100 children by bringing a luxury racetrack experience to sick children from Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Chai Lifeline and Mystic Force Foundation. The organization maintains its mission to provide Miles of Smiles on the Road to Recovery

Spearheading the heart-warming event was Prestige Imports CEO Brett David with sister Brooke David and mother Valerie David Kaye, who all work tirelessly throughout the year to make this day extraordinarily memorable for the children. At this year’s event, the children were driven around the championship racetrack, buckled into exotic supercars and enjoyed an exhilarating, once-in-a-lifetime experience. In addition to their thrilling laps around the track, the Mayor of Homestead and the Homestead Police Department were on site with their emergency vehicles for the children to explore and play around with, along with a performance from their K-9 Unit and a special Lamborghini Homestead Police Car on display. Throughout the afternoon, other activities included face painting, balloon art, a fun-filled photo booth and a racing simulator. The children got the opportunity to draw on a Lamborghini HURACAN and experience “interactive art” from world-renowned artist Romero Britto, who was in attendance, with a custom BRITTO Lamborghini.

In an exclusive interview with Haute Living, the David’s shared how this cause is so special to them, and how it extends far more than just one day on the track. “We make sure to always keep in touch, especially with those we’ve developed special relationships with to check in and see how they’re doing. If a child is a little down and needs a pick-me-up, we’ll drive over to the hospital and take them for a ride if they’re allowed to go out,” says Valerie. If the children aren’t permitted to leave, the Davids will bring the fun inside and surprise the patients with gifts and hang out with them in the room. They’ve even hosted birthdays at the Prestige Imports dealership where they’ll have a cake, presents and get to take a ride in a Lamborghini around the neighborhood.

It was a special and memorable day for all who were involved as the children and their families got to experience racecar driving in some of the world’s most coveted supercars.
