Endeavor Miami hosted its Fifth Annual Endeavor Miami Gala with a stunning event at the grand Faena Forum, honoring this year’s Impact Award recipients, Marcelo Claure of SoftBank and Jorge & Jose Mas of MasTec. The world-class business leaders were presented with the prestigious award for their wide range of accomplishments in the Miami community and beyond.
The breathtaking gala united more than 350 business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and international influencers to celebrate South Florida’s high-impact entrepreneurship movement, as well as network, connect and develop with one another. Guests enjoyed a decadent multi-course meal, live music and the presentation of the special award.

The Board of Directors of Endeavor Miami, which includes Adriana Cisneros (co-chair), Daniel Echavarria (co-chair), Haute 100-lister Sean Wolfington, Ernest Bachrach, Alberto Beeck, Maurice R. Ferré, M.D., Matt Haggman, Peter B. Kellner, Melissa Medina, Anabel Perez, AJ Nahmad and Are Traasdahl, gave a special presentation for the three honorees, as well as Managing Director Laura Maydón.
Highlighting his wide-range of accomplishments in the tech, banking and sports industry, Marcelo Claure, also CEO of SoftBank International and Executive Chairman of Sprint, was honored for his commitment to shining a light on the startup community in Miami through his inherent entrepreneurial spirit. His success began when he founded Brightstar Corp., a company that became one of the largest cell phone distributors worldwide. Claure’s story serves as an inspiration for Endeavor entrepreneurs and others in the startup community.

Jorge and Jose Mas, who currently operate one of the largest infrastructure services providers in the United States, received the Impact Award alongside Claure. Jorge, Chairman and Co-Founder of MasTec, and Jose, CEO of MasTec, have led the company to reach $6.6 billion in revenue, obtaining recognition as a Fortune 500 company. The evolution and growth of MasTec is an indication of their impactful leadership skills and commitment to generating opportunities within the North American economy.
As partners of Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami, Claure and the Mas brother’s most recent venture, they aim to bring Major League Soccer to South Florida, to continue promoting the city’s expansion through sports and entertainment, which was just approved in the most recent elections.
After the celebratory gala, guests enjoyed a hip after party at the Faena Theatre with DJ Hannah Bronfman.
