From the Senspa to Spa Radiance, there is no shortage of excellent spas in San Francisco. However, due to the city’s compact square footage, there isn’t a spa with ample outdoor lounge space. While both Remede (at the St. Regis) and the Nob Hill Spa have gorgeous indoor pools, for soaking in the sun, one must leave SF proper. Luckily, the spa at Cavallo Point is just a quick 15-minute drive over the Golden Gate Bridge.

Known as the Healing Arts Center, the 11,000 square foot spa has 11 treatment rooms and spacious relaxation areas, both indoors and outdoors. A heated meditation pool is nestled under trees making it easy to enjoy a leisurely afternoon. With an assortment of massage, acupuncture, meditation, hypnotherapy, and body treatments, the center’s menu of services is cohesive and extensive. There is also energy clearing, intuitive reading, sound healing, chakra balancing, and personal training.

However, one of the reasons I love Cavallo Point’s spa is for its unique facial options. From anti-aging to rejuvenation to purifying, there is a different facial for every skin type. Earlier this summer, the team launched an exclusive new experience, the Dermalinfusion facial. Developed by Envy Medical Integrative Skin Therapy, the facial is a patented three-in-one treatment that exfoliates, extracts, and infuses skin in one step. There’s no downtime; you’ll leave the facial with glowing, vibrant, and hydrated-looking skin.

Here’s how it works: the skin is cleansed as it would be in a standard facial. Then you customize the treatment by selecting what type of serum you want to infuse the skin. There are four options: ultra-hydrating, vitamin C, skin brightening, and pore clarifying. The Dermalinfusion expert places the serum into the proprietary handtool and begins the noninvasive exfoliation. A diamond tip removes dry and damaged cells. A mini vacuum sucks out dirt, debris, and bacteria—deep cleansing the skin. At the same time, the skin is infused with the serum. It’s fast, comfortable, and luxurious.

Afterward, the skin is plumped, toned, and baby-bottom smooth. A hand, neck, face, and foot massage ensure that the experience is incredibly relaxing. Dermalinfusion treats dry-skin, photodamage, enlarged pores, and hyperpigmentation. It also leaves the face bright and glistening.
