With a whirlwind of events, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase opened its doors last week. The 41st annual event is a fundraiser for University High School with proceeds going to the school’s financial aid program. After a rigorous selection process, 26 of the Bay Area’s top interior designers were chosen to transform the rooms from blank canvases into completely livable and luxurious spaces. For design aficionados, a visit to the home is an inspiring feast for the senses.
This year makes two firsts in the history of the showcase: for the first time, the home is in the Marina, and the outside has been treated like a piece of art. 465 Marina Boulevard is open to the public from now until May 28, Tuesdays through Sundays. I highly recommend that you visit the showcase, but if for some reason your schedule does not permit, you came to the right place. Below, I’m sharing the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous rooms from the 2018 Decorator Showcase.

Elevated Elegance by Molie Malone
Upon entering the house, the entryway is what greets people, so it must be bold and eye-catching. Designer Molie Malone’s breath-taking entry features a spiral staircase with custom de Gournay wallpaper. The metal chandelier adds edge while the neutral-printed rug keeps things cozy.

Art Salon Dining Room by Bjørn Design
The dining room is like a treasure trove of exciting art pieces. Inspired by the Marin Headlands, which can be seen in the distance from the room’s large window, designer David Bjørngaard used materials from the region and pieces by alumni of the Headlands Center for Arts Program. A custom mobile by Julia Condon is a focal point and conversation starter.

Good Vibes! Meditations on Family by Ian Stallings Design
With white Da Vinci marble counters and backsplash, hardwood floors, and elegant blue cabinetry, the stunning kitchen is modern, yet homey. Bluestar and Kohler appliances would make any avid home cook a happy camper.

Lemon drop Lullaby by Dina Bandman Interiors
Dina Bandman’s adorable lemon-themed nursery is the best room in the entire showcase. Although it’s small, she managed to make the room feel spacious and welcoming. Custom de Gournay wallpaper and curtains add sophistication to a newborn’s dwellings. Lemon and mint are a refreshing color palette for a gender neutral nursery.

A Room for Living by Mead Quin
East Bay designer Mead Quin’s living room is another stunner. It’s a clean room that invites relaxation and entertaining. Plush sofas, stylish accents, and interesting art make it a room where homeowners and guests will want to linger.

Ten Thousand Dreams by Jeff Schlarb
Intricate details abound in the master bedroom by Jeff Schlarb. The wallpaper is fringe fabric, the windowsill is living plants, and the bed two connecting oversized cushions. There is a romantic moodiness to the bedroom that is intriguing and slightly erotic.
