Not even a week after her dreamy baby shower, actress Eva Longoria hosted the second Women’s Empowerment Luncheon with the Global Gift Foundation USA, as well as Cybex and Tot Living by Haute Living.
The charitable event, held at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar in Los Angeles, raised funds to benefit the Global Gift Foundation USA as well as Eva Longoria Foundation, which provides scholarships and programs for Latina girls and women.
Longoria served as the Honorary Chair and Keynote Speaker of the star-studded affair that consisted of a luncheon and a speakers’ panel, and attracted a raft of celebrities, influencers and philanthropists. Some of the notable attendees include actress and podcaster Brooke Burke; Emiliana Guereca, founder of Women’s March LA Foundation; radio producer Patty Rodriquez; actresses and philanthropists Melanie Griffith, Andrea Navedo and Rosanna Arquette; as well as host and moderator, journalist Yarel Ramos.
With the aim to “inspire, unite, educate and motivate” women from diverse stripes of life, the Women’s Empowerment Luncheon also drew support from partners Haute Living, CYBEX Car Seats and Strollers, Evenflo, Duke Bouron, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar and In-Kind supporters Exquistamente, and Sol Luna Events.
The gathering kicked off with hors d’oeuvres and Duke Bouron cocktails, followed by a three-course lunch. Serenaded by talented singer Janice Freeman, guests could partake in a raffle, which featured donated prizes by CYBEX (Evenflo Pivot Travel System and CYBEX Anna K Space Rocket Collection), Black Orquid jewelry pieces; Rocco Donna and BeGlammed makeovers; a San Antonio Winery wine basket; and a Spa at the Glen gift certificate.
A celebration of “each other’s growth and successes,” the luncheon built upon its still nascent yet promising legacy and cued to a bright future not only for its beneficiaries, but for everyone involved.
