The special evening took place the night before the highly-anticipated, next-day release of the star’s newest film Girls Trip, of which she co-stars with actresses Queen Latifah, Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish. Jada describes the comedic film as, “a beautiful crossover between The Hangover and Bridesmaids.” In her Miami and New York cover features, Smith notes the beauty of the film’s ability showcase the importance of friendship and women’s empowerment. “The film is really just fun. And it’s about women taking control of their lives in a way that they see best for themselves. It’s about girls getting together and having a good old time, and I think women need that just as much as men,” Jada said.

And it was, indeed, a grand celebration for the star in true Hamptons fashion. Guests sipped on glasses of rosé as they enjoyed a colorful menu crafted by 75 Main, including a gorgeous platter of fresh vegetables and mozzarella cheese taken straight from the nearby farm that morning, as well as signature dishes like the Char Grilled Octopus and 75 Main Chopped Salad, Truffled Crumb Stuffed Breast of Chicken, Filet Mignon and the Roasted Honey, Balsamic, Mustard Salmon.

Prior to a delicious Cherry Cobbler served for dessert, co-publisher Seth Semilof took a moment to give a speech to Jada, congratulating her on her two cover features and debut of the new film. She was then presented with a stunning Butterfly painting by artist Paul Gerben to commemorate the night.
