Fashion designers Dean and Dan Caten, the forces behind Dquared2, brought in international superstar Ricky Martin for the opening of the brand’s newest flagship boutique at The Shops at Crystals on April 6. The iconic duo created all of the costumes for Ricky Martin’s new residency at Park Theater.

The boutique marks the fourth flagship location for the brand in the United States. Supermodel Tyson Beckford, who returned to “The Chippendales” stage later that evening; stand-up comedian Carrot Top; Absinthe performer Melody Sweets; professional BMX rider Ricardo Laguna; supermodel Clint Mauro; entertainer Frank Marino; 98 Degrs singer Jeff Timmons; and Harrah’s headliners Tenors of Rock were all on hand for the opening.

The 2,200-square-foot store features Dquared2’s signature edgy collections for men and women, including accessories, fragrances, eyewear and underwear.

The store features a curated mix of Canadian iconography, refined Italian tailoring and playful sensuality.

The Shops at Crystals adds Dquared2 to its portfolio of almost 30 unique-to-market brands, joining the likes of Tom Ford, Céline, Saint Laurent Paris and Richard Mille. It is also the third unique-to-market designer to open at The Shops at Crystals in the past three months, joining Berluti and Aquazzura as the most recent additions.
