Come Sunday night, the creme de la creme of Hollywood will be seated at The Beverly Hilton in designer gowns and custom-made tuxedos, waiting, for many, to win a coveted golden trophy from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the 74th Golden Globe Awards. Yet, while many awards ceremonies are serious and food-free, the Golden Globes are a breath of fresh air…the stars really do get to eat, drink and be merry while they’re waiting for a potential big win. Here, take a look at what stars like Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams, Tom Hanks, Ryan Gosling and Natalie Portman will be eating and drinking at the 2017 Golden Globes.

The Beverly Hilton’s Executive Chef Alberico Nunziata and Executive Pastry Chef Thomas Henzi have created a three-course menu for the 1,300 guests that includes an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. The Golden Salad features herb roasted golden and red beets, watermelon radish, arugula, crumbled goat cheese, grapefruit and roasted pistachios topped with ceviche lime dressing, followed by duo of Chilean sea bass and filet mignon as the entrée. The roasted Chilean sea bass features a celery puree and house-made sundried tomato pesto with lemon oil, while the grilled filet mignon is served with 24-month aged Parmigianino risotto and topped with wild mushrooms and broccolini flowers seasoned lightly with garlic.Vegetarians can enjoy a creamy mushroom risotto with Chef’s seasonal vegetables.

A trio of desserts will round out the menu, including: Delizia, a Neapolitan almond cake with orange mascarpone cream; profiteroles, filled with amaretto vanilla cream and topped with crunchy sugared almonds and chocolate sauce; and chocolate gianduja crunch bars with layers of praline gianduja and chocolate amaretto mousse on hazelnut crunch; all plated with a refreshing strawberry relish and coulis.

“As the first Italian chef at The Beverly Hilton to lead the menu for the Golden Globes, I’m looking forward to bringing my Italian heritage to this global stage,” Alberico tells us. “Throughout our months of planning, we were consistent in wanting to present a menu that was light, colorful and comforting—yet filling enough to keep our guests satisfied through a long and exciting evening. Both the salad and the main dish blend the distinct California culinary experience with my Italian culture. Our Golden Salad provides a unique twist on the refreshing feel of ceviche, with a focus on fresh produce from our favorite local farmers and a hint of home for me that’s found in the dressing. The main dish, a Duo of Roasted Chilean Sea Bass and Grilled Filet Mignon, incorporates precious, high quality ingredients. We even we had 400 pounds of 24-month aged parmesan flown in from Emilia Romana for the risotto in this dish. I’m excited to share this delicious meal with the top stars in Hollywood!”
