Gwyneth Paltrow‘s goop has collaborated with M.Gemi, a footwear line named for legendary Sicilian shoe guru Maria Gangemi, on a limited-edition four-piece capsule collection of shoes that truly embody the SoCal vibe. The line, which is exclusive to goop, is inspired by the Oscar-winning actress’s personal connections to the brand’s Italian origins.
The collection, as you’ll see below, includes four diverse styles: a gladiator sandal, a white sneaker, a high-heeled sandal and a neutral snakeskin. Here, we share a look at the new collection—and the places in L.A. where you just might find Paltrow wearing them!
THE SHOE: A nod to a villa-slash-castle in Italy that’s particularly special to Paltrow, these minimal slip-on sneakers are crafted in supple white leather—the sleek, pared-down aesthetic lets the golden ankle cuff take center stage. $278
WHERE TO WEAR THEM: THE BRENTWOOD COUNTRY MART. Paltrow stops here to buy clothing, books and to indulge in some frozen Sweet Rose Creamery treats.
THE SHOE: These genuine snakeskin d’Orsay flats (the name comes from a play on Paltrow’s name invented by her Italian friends) have a chic pointed toe and elegant, adjustable ankle strap. $348
WHERE TO WEAR THEM: THE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART (MOCA). This is one of the actress’s favorite museums in the City of Angels, as much for its vibe as its exhibits.
THE SHOE: These snakeskin stilettos were also given their nickname by Paltrow’s Italian friends; they’re unique in that they have a slight platform toe and an elegant, adjustable ankle strap. $348
WHERE TO WEAR THEM: IL RISTORANTE DI GIORGIO BALDI OR PROVIDENCE. These two high-end eateries are among her favorites in Los Angeles.
THE SHOE: Named after a town in Sienna, Italy beloved by Paltrow, these wear-everywhere gladiators in smooth-black calf leather have multiple ankle straps with adjustable pin-buckles. $248
WHERE TO WEAR THEM: THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL OR SHUTTERS ON THE BEACH. These gladiators literally can be worn everywhere—whether it be a beachy local like Shutters or an evening concert like the Hollywood Bowl.
