Is Fido Your Best Friend? Check Out W Miami’s Yappy Hour

Behold, National Dog Day is upon us. That means everyone is going to go extra crazy to celebrate their friendship with their K-9 bestie. If you want to know just how far you can take these relationships, check out some of the best doggy Instagram accounts out there. They include @CutieandTheBeast, which follows the adventure of Bhudda the Doberman Pincher and his little girl Sienna, @OlivertheGoldendoodle, which depicts an incredibly pliable and cute Goldendoodle who can swing on a swing all on his own and lastly, @RafaelMantesso, a Brazilian artist who loves to make his Bull Terrier do all manner of things with his incredible line drawings and creativity.
If running a social media site dedicated to your pooch is a little much for you, but you’re ready to take him on a night on the town, you’ll want to head to the W Miami, on Friday, August 26th in honor of the big holiday. They’ll be holding a Yappy Hour from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at 15th and Vine on the terrace. The event is being hosted by @ThisDogOrbits and happy hour specials as well as complimentary treats for all pups will be available.
On Miami Beach, 1 Hotel South Beach is doing their part to celebrate, too. For an entire week, beginning Friday, pups can receive a complimentary, five-star course on the garden terrace when guests or locals dine for brunch, lunch or dinner at Beachcraft, a restaurant by Tom Colicchio. Fur buddies under 10 lbs. will receive delectable dog treats made of a chicken liver/bacon base with a ketchup glaze, and heftier hounds can chow down on raw cuts of beef, carrots, celery and blueberries—all whipped up with farm-to-table ingredients by Chef du Cuisine, Michael Fiorello.
