The World’s First Conveyor Belt Hot Pot Restaurant Now in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is now home to the world’s first refrigerated conveyer belt-based hot pot restaurant. Chubby Cattle serves up Mongolian hot pots that travel down a conveyor belt for guests to choose. Guests can also order off the menu, selecting one of six broths as a base. Assorted mushroom, beautiful mushroom and the house “hellishly spicy” pot are among the choices. Then pick options such as a mixed mushroom basket, fruit hot pot, grilled shrimp skewers and more, followed by an assortment of sauces such as soy, chile and hoison. Chubby Cattle even estimates how much time it will take to get your dishes.
Chubby Cattle is a partnership between Little Lamb, the international restaurant that operates nearly 600 locations throughout the world, and NXTFactor, an international digital agency and investment firm.
Owner Harby Yang was born into the hot pot business in Inner Mongolia, an autonomous region of northern China. His family ran and operated the best hot pot restaurants in all of China.
The 3,600-square-foot space seats 160 and features a waterfall, a custom designed 3D recessed sky ceiling, custom made hand cut granite tables with induction cookers, specially designed under-the-table cell phone holders, private VIP rooms and a custom built fish tank that holds live seafood.
Guests can choose chicken, lamb, beef brisket, rib eye, pork, tripe, live geoduck, live shrimp, live king crab, live Vancouver crab, scallops, bass, clams, over a dozen vegetables, tofu, noodles, rice, dumplings, house-made dessert and more. But the real star is the broth. The soup base, made from a special and secret recipe is slow simmered every day for eight hours before they serve it.
Chubby Cattle is located in the Mountain View Plaza, 3400 S. Jones Blvd. and is open daily from 4 to 11 p.m.
