St Regis’ Sushi Lounge Offers Some of Miami’s Best
The St. Regis is known as one of the most luxurious and beautiful hotels in the city, so it’s not surprising they do many things well. J&G Grill, for example, is a top culinary destination and Remède Spa is renown for terrific treatments, but not many people know that, in addition to jazzy entertainment and and a sexy environment, the St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge boasts excellent Japanese cuisine as well.
The dining concept was created by Miami influencer, Jillian Jacobson, who insures the dining experience is up to her exacting standards. And it is a full dining experience, offering up a lot more than a typical bar or lounge menu.
The St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge has a full range of zensai, or appetizers, salads, sushi, nigiri and mains. The zensai are broken up into warm and cold, with hits like Kobe Beef Tataki served up with wasabi, Hamachi with jalapeños, oversize, succulent Gulf Shrimp battered in a crispy tempura.
But they do have a number of exciting combinations like the Rock Crab Roll with curry, rock shrimp and green soy paper, or the Land & Sea Roll that features Wagyu beef, Alaskan King Crab and a pop of truffle that surprises and delights diners. The Lobster Roll features Maine Lobster, yuzu and tempera flakes while those opting for something lighter can pick the Weightless Roll, featuring a cucumber wrap with king salmon, Alaskan king crab, avocado.
Classics, like Shishito Peppers and the Spicy Tuna Roll (made using big-eye tuna,) are done well too.
From the name, you might think sushi is the main event, and it is, but there are lots and lots of delicious hot dishes like succulent Soba Noodles and a melt-in-your-mouth Japanese Short Rib. Green Tea Cheesecake Tempura.
The bar is open and the the sushi menu is available from 12pm to 11pm daily.
