Haute 100: Tommy Hilfiger And Rafael Nadal Unveil Tennis Suit Collection

Listen up tennis aficionados; Tommy Hilfiger is upping the style ante to your favorite game with a haute new tennis suit. Yes, you read that correctly. You will now be able to play a game of tennis in one sleek attire.

The Haute 100 lister is teaming up with his brand ambassador and tennis star Rafael Nadal to unveil a range of suits inspired by Nadal’s life on and off the court. Titled THFLEX Rafael Nadal Edition capsule collection, the line will feature single-breasted and double-breasted suits. The high-performance Italian-made fabrics will boast a special finish that enhances the breathability of the materials. As stated on the site, the collection includes “tailoring with wrinkle-free fabrics for that’s made to move.”

In addition, the capsule collection will include six-limited edition shirts in four red and white color combinations, an array of micro-checks, color block designs and stripes as well as a silk tie in the brand’s classic red, white and blue

In a statement released on the capsule collection site, Nadal said, “I look for suits that are simple, classic and comfortable. Tommy Hilfiger Tailored has the best quality designs with fantastic fit.”

The THFLEX Rafael Nadal Edition capsule collection is slated to hit stores in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, as well as online at tommy.com in spring 2016.

Most recently, during New York City Fashion Week, Hilfiger continued to be a trailblazer when he unveiled click and buy. In an interview with AFP, Hilfiger revealed he is changing the rules and will allow consumers to purchase the items the same-day. He said, “The younger customer does not want to wait any longer, they want to see it and wear it that day or the next day. So we’re going to change the rules. We’re going to allow the consumer to click and buy.”

Hilfiger also debuted the first-ever Instapit, a photo pit reserved for Instagrammers, as well as a “fast lane” to check in via Apple Watch. Basically Hilfiger’s show became one of the most fashion-forward, tech-savvy shows of the season.
