NYFW Recap: Haute Living at Vera Wang Fall 2016 Show
This morning at 11:00 am in the oh-so-rainy New York City, Haute Living Magazine strutted its way to the highly anticipated Vera Wang Fall 2016 show at the Skylight at Moynihan Station.
In purples, eggplant yellows and blacks with popping metallic accents, Vera Wang’s luxuriously dark yet feminine collection shone bright this fine Tuesday, leaving us all more than excited to shop for our Fall wardrobes. Beginning with an array of deep black and dusty green silhouettes, and ending with a collection of nude, pink and breezy designs, Vera amazed us all, and once again set the standards high for the upcoming Fall fashion.
Highlights included classically tailored army-green coats and nude sequined sheer dresses, which contrasted with the perfectly fitted geometric all-black turtlenecks, dress skirts and blazers. The shoes were platform heel boots in black and green and the makeup was bright but minimal, while the hair was messy chic in a straight-out-of-bed style.
A-listers in the front rows snapped away on their phones as the models paraded slowly down the runway, in Vera’s dreamy Fall designs, and then turned, facing each other before exiting, creating an á la mode catwalk mirror effect for the viewers.
Models in grungy struts wearing oversized color-block fur coats in bright earth tones broke the runway as fashion insiders clapped away in awe. With soothing classic music in the background, the models in head-to-toe Wang floated away in a synchronized rhythm, as Vera waved shyly from the corner, leaving us all with a sense of understated beauty that only she can deliver.
