See Serena Williams’ Live Ultimate Run South Beach

The Serena Williams Live Ultimate Run South Beach will be taking place this weekend on Dec. 13 at Lummus Park. It will feature three events: quarter marathon, 5k and the ultimate kids Dash. And of course gives everyone from casual joggers to elite runners the opportunity to run with the No.1 women’s singles tennis player Serena Williams.

The event expects thousands of participants and spectators, so they have encouraged for those interested in participating to register early. Especially because there will be a cap at 3,000 participants. The race welcomes all those interested from young fitness fanatics to those young at heart.

All participants will receive a packets filled with race essentials as well as some goodies from sponsors like a Nike shirt to commemorate the event. Other race sponsors are Beats Electronics, Publix Super Markets, Nike, Gatorade, JP Morgan Chase, Mission Athletecare, Live Ultimate, Rose Capital Advisors, Armpocket, Douglas Elliman, Haute Living, Crunch Gym, Deliver Lean, Clevelander Hotel and the Miami Beach Visitor & Convention Authority.

The spectacular course will take runners through the scenic oceanfront of Miami’s renowned South Beach. After the race participants can celebrate with friends and family at the post-race party, and enjoy food, drinks and entertainment.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Serena Williams Fund. The charity mainly focuses on two areas: helping individuals or communities effected by senseless violence and ensuring equal access to education.

Besides her fund’s work Serena likes to take opportunities to change a life, or make an impact when she is able. She partners with several organization to full fill this including, UNICEF, Build Africa Schools, the Equal Justice Initiative and Beyond the Boroughs Scholarship Fund.
