Love & Laughter: Dubai Comedy Festival

More than just laughs were delivered over the weekend at the Dubai Comedy Festival Desi Invasion.

On Saturday October 17, Dubai Comedy Festival’s Desi Invasion featured a bevy of India’s funniest comics, including Atul Khatri, Kenny Sebastian, Neeti Palta and Abish Mathew. Audiences were alight in laughter during the two hour affair.

Host Nitin Mirani stole the show, however, with a surprise wedding proposal to his partner, model and actress Madhu Sneha. The crowd was over the top when the lovely Madhu said yes.

Abu Dhabi Art Hub Premiers “Sustainable Art”, an Upcycle Collection

A residency founded under the concept of uniting artists to find inspiration in discarded materials met great success as the collection “Sustainable Art” debuted over the weekend at Abu Dhabi Art Hub.

Dubai-based artists Jeff Scofield, Stephanie Neville, Beena Samuel and Diyali Sen Bhalla focused on upcycling discarded materials and discovered objects for their art featured in the collection, which is on display through October 27. Each artist explores the theme of sustainability through their artworks, which include mixed media paintings, sculptures and installations.
