Carmelo Anthony the eight time NBA All-Star, from the New York Knicks was drafted by the luxury brands, Zegna and Maserati into a threesome style partnership—announced today. The handsome player and watch connoisseur flew to the foothills of the Alps in Trivero, Italy to test drive the latest auto (by Maserati) and the capsule collection including key pieces every titan of industry should own. From a $250 key case to a $3995, leather blouson jacket—perfect to wear while driving along a European road. The family owned name in menswear originates from the region and continues to produce fabrics at the family owned factory with the family-estate is close-by.
Following last year’s launch of the Maserati Quattroporte, Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition, with its Zegna-designed interior, Zegna’s master craftsmen have now created a pure silk fabric with an extremely high visual impact for the cockpit and seats. The automotive-grade fabric combines an incredibly soft feel with an elegantly technical look. Mr. Anthony test drove the auto with its sleek and fashionable interior wearing the accessories and looking dapper.
He adds the Italian brand Zegna to the list of brands he promotes as athletes become the ever popular representatives for these rarified products. Victor Cruz from the NY Giants is also among the group of sports figures who offered his name and face to the fashion and luxury world. Victor is the recent face of the French brand, Givenchy and the Hugo Boss, fragrance called Intense.
The Ermenegildo Zegna was founded in 1910 as a wool mill and have dedicated factories close to Trivero that produce clothing. Zegna also has a factory that produces exclusively Made to Measure items for the brand.
