Haute Weekend Events in Boston 9/25/15
The weather is supposed to be beautiful all weekend so there is no better time to enjoy some great events in and around Boston. Here’s a look at our picks for some of the hautest places to go.
Tomorrow night, head south to the Duxbury Food and Wine Festival’s Pilgrim Dinner. The evening starts off with a reception at 6 p.m. at the Tent at the Alden House Historic Site followed by a sit-down dinner at 7 p.m. On Sunday, from 4 to 6 p.m., they will be hosting a sushi and sake tasting as well.

The Heather Abbot Foundation its hosting its first fall kick off fundraiser at the Barking Crab in Boston tomorrow. From 3 to 7 p.m., the restaurant will feature food, an open bar and entertainment with all proceeds to benefit the Heather Abbott Foundation, which is dedicated to providing customized prostheses for anyone who has suffered limb loss through traumatic events. (Heather lost a leg during the Boston Marathon bombings).
The 3 Point Foundation is hosting its third annual Benefit Gala tomorrow night to honor Charlie Titus, UMASS Boston’s Vice Chancellor of Athletics. The event kicks off tomorrow night at 6 p.m. at the UMASS Campus Center. The foundation works to help under privileged youths reach their full potential.
Doretta Taverna and Raw Bar is hosting a private opening celebration on Saturday night of Chef Michael Schlow’s Greek-inspired restaurant at Heritage on the Garden. Guests will have the chance to sip on cocktails and bites from the Doretta menu.
Tomorrow night is also your chance to head out under the stars and dance the night away at the Moondance Gala. The annual event, which benefits the Esplanade Association, raises money to fund park improvements and community programs. The theme of this year’s event is Making life better on the Esplanade from the ground up.
