Oh how we love the outdoor setting at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, set atop a rugged bluff overlooking 50 miles of pristine California coastline. Now there’s a regal way to enjoy the scenic views this posh property offers and that’s with the world’s most expensive cigar. The oceanfront resort has joined with Fumar Cigars, the industry leader in legendary on premise cigar programs, to feature Ghurka His Majesty’s Reserve, a rare and special cigar known for its taste—and price tag.

Made in the Dominican Republic, His Majesty’s Reserve cigars are aged tobacco leaves rolled into a fine cigar before adding a full shot of 40-year-old Louis XIII Remy Martin Cognac into each of the luxurious smokes. The blend is comprised of an 18-year Connecticut Maduro wrapper with 12-year-old Dominican binder and fillers. The cigar was made in 1996, making the tobacco 37 years old. Kaizad Hansotia, the founder of Gurkha Cigars, encased it in the best glass tube he could find and sealed it with rich green wax. The amazing aromas, as well as the taste of the cigar, are something not to be forgotten. His Majesty’s Reserve are offered at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay at the stately price of $2,000 each.

Only 75 boxes will be made this year so rest assured you will have a cigar that not every billionaire can even get his or hands on.

The Ghurka HMR cigar is the perfect way to start the weekend when you book the Friday Night Flights package, which includes Coastal View accommodations, a $300 Spa Credit, a cheese and charcuterie plate and a flight of wine for two in ENO—the resort’s custom-built wine room—resort fee and overnight valet parking. The package is available through September 24, 2015 and must be booked on a Friday night. Rates start at $895 per night.

While relaxing outdoors, you’ll also enjoy the sweet sounds of the bagpiper serenading the end of the day as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean as you cozy up to the outdoor fire pits on The Ocean Terrace with the world’s most expensive cigar and your beverage of choice. You’ll feel like the royalty you know you are.
