Inside the Haute Living, Louis XIII and Audemars Piguet Dinner

The CEO of Louis XIII, the head of Audemars Piguet, and Seth Semilof of Haute Living hosted an event last Friday. When three prestigious companies collaborate for a night of delicous food, luxury watches, and the finest cognac, you know you’re in for a treat. Those fortunate enough to be on the guest list for this exclusive event began with private screening of a movie about making Rémy Martin Louis XIII cognac, which followed a tasting of Remy Martin Louis XIII. Next, guests enjoyed a delectable three-course gourmet dinner. Chatoe Margoe wine was served whole night.

The event, which was held at a magnificent Triplex penthouse in New York City, introduced guests to one of the most spectacular cognacs ever created. Louis XIII de Rémy Martin is a magnificent blend created from 40 to 100-year-old eaux de vie, using grapes from France’s renowned Grand Champagne region in Cognac, France. Aged in century-old oak barrels, the cognac is considered one of the best in the world.

Crystal maker Baccarat also collaborated with Remy Martin to create Louis XIII Black Pearl, a glamorous limited edition decanter that is individually numbered. One of the most exclusive collections of decanters is the Louis XIII – Les Lumières, a modern and contemporary design created by French designer Christophe Pillet that is described as a “sensorial experience through time and ultimate luxury.” Each of the designer’s creations in the collection is created with special attention to the way it reacts in the light. This iconic cognac is internationally renowned and carries with it the legend of Louis XIII. It was first created in 1874 and has since been nurtured by four generations of cellar masters who are devoted to producing the finest cognac. Each exquisite Baccarat crystal decanter that holds this iconic cognac has been created as a unique expression of Rémy Martin’s tradition and knowledge, and forms part of an iconic collection.

A tasting of this exclusive cognac is a unique, memorable experience. It’s a journey through 100 years of different aromas that combine to create a unique final product of extreme delicacy and taste. For more than 400 years, Rémy Martin’s cellar masters have worked towards perfecting Louis XIII’s distinct flavor. They have selected, blended, and aged the most extraordinary eaux de vies in pursuit of this excellent, timeless treasure. Throughout its long history, this distinctive French cognac has gained a reputation for its excellence and a unique flavor that sets it apart from the rest. Among the guests were Paula and Arnie Rosenshein, DJ Cassidy, Dominico Vacca, Janna Bullock and Martin Marley.
