SF: Sierra Club Celebrates 2nd Annual Trail Blazers Ball
Leaders from the political, green tech, and arts and entertainment communities gathered on May 21 in San Francisco to celebrate the Sierra Club at the second annual Trail Blazers Ball, the environmental group’s annual gala.
The evening, which took place at the City View Metreon, began with a special spoken-word performance by five time Grammy award winner Malik Yusef. Arnold Schwarzenegger joined the festivities via video, where he presented an honor to film director, screenwriter and film producer Darren Aronofsky (Noah, Black Swan, The Wrestler), recognizing his work to raise awareness through film and personal philanthropy. State Senate President Pro Tempore Kevin De Leon was also honored for his environmental championship during his legislative tenure.
