Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Nominees Announced

The Fashion Group International announced its 2015 “ Rising Star Awards” nominees. The winners will be announced at a luncheon at Cipriani on Jan 29 with the darling of the fashion business, Jason Wu, as a keynote speaker.

Some of the notable nominees are Rosie Assoulin, Tanya Taylor and Sally LaPointe for womenswear. In the accessory category, Jill Haber of Jill Haber Design Group and Ylana Yepez , who both design handbags. In men’s apparel people of note are Alder New York’s David J. Krause and Nina Zilka. Other presenters include Architectural Digest’s Margaret Russel, who will honor the interior winners.

There is also a Beauty Entrepreneur category with potential winners: Julie Macklowe from VBeaute and Restorsea’s Patti Pao.
