Tiffany’s Salutes New York City with its Holiday Windows in Dubai
Tiffany & Co. has unveiled its Magical Holiday Windows at its Dubai Mall flagship store in celebration of the 2014 holiday season. This annual tradition is an invitation for lovers of Tiffany’s to discover a new and enchanting story portrayed on the store’s façade.
This year’s theme focuses on the spirit of New York City during the 1950s and ’60s. Then as now, Tiffany & Co. was one of the city’s greatest jewelers, positioned at the forefront of fashion and design. It was also the beginning of the jet age, and revelers everywhere were known to spent the holidays in New York to enjoy the festivities with friends and family.
The story, which appears on Tiffany’s windows worldwide this season, features witty illustrations of such merrymakers. The varied scenes of vibrant blues and lavender epitomize the freewheeling spirit of a city sparkling in snow and holiday glamor. Families ice skate at Rockefeller Center, with dogs on skates and neck scarves flying. There are scenes depicting romantic couples taking a walk in Times Square, with Tiffany jewels sparkling on billboards; overlooking the Empire State Building; and gazing at the diamonds in Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue windows, captivated by the ultimate gifts to delight the eye and warm the heart.
As ever, the Tiffany Blue Box is artfully showcased in each scene. This global symbol of excellence and gift giving is tucked in the hand, stacked on a sleigh or around the tree and overflows the trunk of a taxi—a symbol of memories and gifts to last a lifetime.
