9 Miami NYE Dinners: Taste Your Way into 2015

New Year’s Eve is just days away, and it’s time to figure out the best way to make it count. For the best meals in Miami on December 31st, check out one of these nine NYE menus and start your 2015 with a bang.

The Dom Pérignon Private Dining Room (St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort)
Make this New Year’s Eve beyond extraordinary with an intimate dinner party for your closest family and friends. Guests will enjoy bottles of Dom Pérignon all night long; a perfect pair to J&G Grill’s eight-course menu, featuring house specialties like duck confit and smoked foie gras, sea urchin and lobster boullion, A5 Japanese Kobe NY strip, white chocolate petit gateaux and more.
Table price is $14,000 for up to 12 guests.

Uvaggio Wine Bar

IMG_2173This December 31st, kick-off your NYE celebrations with a prix-fixe menu at Coral Gables’ Uvaggio Wine Bar. Hosted by Iron Horse Winery’s CEO, Joy Sterling, this event will feature surprise dishes prepared by Top Chef Bret Pelaggi; including lobster, crab, caviar, oysters, black truffles, lamb osso bucco, Long Island duck and more. Each dish will be perfectly paired with the best wines from around the world, including bottomless Iron Horse sparkling wines and Krug champagnes all night long.
This event is taking place from 7 – 10:30 p.m. Reservations are $250 per person.

StripSteak
New Year’s Eve is the time to see-and-be-seen, and where better to do it than at the Fontainebleau, South Florida’s most trendy, celeb-packed hotel? Ring in the New Year at the Fontainebleau’s newest restaurant, StripSteak, and enjoy four and five-course prix-fixe menus featuring dishes like Smoked Salmon Custard, Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras, Pan Roasted Diver Scallops, or a Wood-Grilled 8 oz Prime Filet. Round it off with a “Gold Bar” dessert – the perfect combination of dark chocolate, champagne and vanilla ice cream – and start 2015 with a bang. Four course prix-fixe menus are available with seatings at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. ($195 per person). Five course prix-fixe menus are available with seatings at 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ($295 per person). Vegetarian options available.

Villa Azur
The French introduced us to champagne. So why not ring in 2015 with the people who taught us how to do it right? The French Mediterranean restaurant, Villa Azur, is offering a prix-fixe menu package for parties of two, four, six or eight—serving house favorites like slowly cooked Kobe beef tenderloin with pan seared foie gras, grilled truffle brioche and Porto wine sauce; and their chocolate tart dessert with guanaja chocolate jelly, Bahibe Chocolate milk sauce and white chocolate coconut bonbon. But the food isn’t the only thing to head there for! Guest can enjoy beats by DJ Stephan M, special party favors, an epic midnight balloon drop, and surprise live entertainment.

Café Prima Pasta

untitled-271New Year’s Eve is a great time to reflect on the past—so why not do that at one of Miami Beach’s oldest and most historic restaurants? Celebrating its 21st anniversary just this year, Café Prima Pasta serves some of the most authentic Italian in South Florida. Reserve your table for their prix-fixe NYE menu and enjoy sparkling bellinis, tuna osaka, carpaccio di manzo, mozzarella di bufala, pasta dishes like garganelli and canelloni, Chilean sea bass, and of course, a homemade dessert: dulce de leche flan, tiramisu, cheesecake or chocolate mousse cake. Reservations available from 5 p.m. to Midnight. Tickets are $125 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. 

A Fish Called Avalon
Ocean Drive is home to some of Miami’s hautest parties and events – and New Year’s Eve is certainly no exception. If you’re in the mood for a NYE celebration that’s both devilish and demure, head to 7th & Ocean’s A Fish Called Avalon for a tantalizing year-end meal amidst ocean views, South Beach’s famed NYE fireworks display and that one-and-only Miami vibe. If that’s not enough to convince you, the menu will: a five-course meal that includes Mediterranean meze, king crab, baby kale and greens, Lobster Thermidor, filet mignon chocolate lava cake and Laurent Perrier Champagne.
Reservations are $250 per person.

For a relaxed evening in a more sophisticated atmosphere, head to South of Fifth for a 2015 New Year’s Eve dinner party at Il Mulino New York South Beach. Offering a four-course, prix-fixe menu with two seatings, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., guests can enjoy prosciutto a melone, ravioli ai porcini, filetto di manzo alla fiorentina, salmone alla griglia and a collection of delicious desserts, including: tiramisu, ricotta cheesecake, panna cotta and flourless chocolate cake.
7:30 p.m. seating (ends at 9 p.m.) for four course prix-fixe menu and champagne toast ($150 per person). 9 p.m. seating (ends at Midnight) for four course prix-fixe menu, live entertainment, party favors and champagne toast ($300 per person).

Bianca at Delano
To help partygoers ring in the New Year in style, the Delano South Beach will host an extravagant Italian four-course dinner for only the trendiest Miamians. Kicking off the evening with an amuse bouche of king crab freddo, celery root puree and osetra golden caviar, the night will continue with featured specialties like chilled seafood piatto, d’alba white truffle cappellacci, carne e pesce and a rich dessert of chocolate mousse dome glassato. The finale? A midnight Moet and Chandon champagne toast to celebrate 2015.
Reservations available as early as 9:30 p.m., each priced at $625 per person.
