Get ready to meet the newest hotel opening on the Strip in Las Vegas. SLS Las Vegas, the new resort from sbe, just announced it was opening its doors Aug. 23, a week earlier than originally anticipated.

The resort taking over the former Sahara on the north end of the Strip broke ground in February 2013. This week, SLS Las Vegas lit up its new marquee, which now counts down the days until opening. The property’s 10,000-square-foot, four-sided marquee stands approximately 88 feet high by 47 feet wide. Daktronics LED video technology lights up with more than 12 million LEDs and 4 million pixels.

Guest can already book rooms starting Aug. 23, while reservations for the restaurants such as Bazaar Meat by José Andrés, Cleo, Katsuya, Ku Noodle and The Griddle Cafe are also available.

“After two years of collaborating with a world-class culinary team, that includes a collection of some of the most talented chefs on the planet, we’re proud to now be taking reservations and welcoming our guests for what we believe is an unrivaled dining experience,” says Matt Erickson, senior vice president of restaurant operations for SLS Las Vegas.
