Memorial Day weekend festivities kicked off at 1 OAK at the Mirage with a live show by music superstar Nicki Minaj, who arrived at the nightlife hotspot with a large entourage including boyfriend Safaree Samuels, her three stylists and security team.
She then walked the 1 OAK red carpet wearing an exclusive Brian Lichtenberg black and white “HOMIES South Central” print crop top and skirted leggings that was inspired by moto cross racing. She paired the optical pattern of black and white stripes and checkers with white stilettos, dark shades and wore her hair in simple dark flowing waves. Minaj happily posed for cameras, fans and chatted with the media.
After the carpet, she was quickly escorted inside to the nightclub’s über-exclusive owners table, where she sat with her boyfriend and took in the club scene before her performance.
At 2 a.m. Minaj grabbed the mic and hit the 1 OAK catwalk to perform her hit songs “Super Bass,” “Fly” “Bad Bitch” and verses from Big Sean’s “Dance (Ass)” remix that had the at-capcity crowd of fans bouncing along. Minaj concluded her highly-anticipated show with fiery verses from “Pop That” by French Montana and graciously thanked her fans for coming out to support her. After the show, she left the club and peeled away in her custom, “murdered out” Maybach.
Minaj continues her Vegas reign with a poolside engagement at Liquid Pool Lounge on Saturday.
