American Ballet Theatre Gala Raised $1.7 Million

The city’s most noteworthy socialites, actresses and philanthropists gathered at the Metropolitan Opera House on Monday evening to celebrate the opening of American Ballet Theatre’s spring season. Widely considered one of the most popular soirees of the year, the event attracted a laundry list of celebrities including Emmy Rossum, Selena Gomez, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Kravitz, Estelle, Chris Cornell, Anne V and Coco Rocha.

The chic event raised more than $1.7 million for the company, and marked the start of the highly-anticipated ballet season, which includes performances of “Don Quixote,” “Cinderella,” and “The Dream.”

After the moving performance, guests enjoyed dinner in a spacious white tent, outfitted with dramatic red ostrich feathers. As the evening progressed, ABT dancers joined guests on the crowded dance floor, creating the ultimate high energy dance party.
