Hollywood heavyweight, Salma Hayek, and her husband Francois-Henri Pinault (aka France’s third richest man) are rumoured to be bidding au revoir to Paris and relocating to London.
The sultry Mexican actress – best known for playing tortured Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in the 2002 film, Frida, is shooting her new film How To Make Love Like An Englishman in London with Pierce Brosnan.
Meanwhile Kering boss, Pinault, is of the opinion that the capital will offer new business opportunities for his fashion conglomerate (Kering owns luxe labels like Gucci, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen).
The power couple and their six year old daughter, Valentina, are reportedly keen to snap up a pad in Kensington or Notting Hill.
Salma isn’t the only A-list actress to have been seduced by the lures of London. Scarlett Johansson, said to be pregnant with her first child, waxed lyrical about London at the Westfield premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (which sees the 29 year old reprise her role as the Black Widow).
She told the Evening Standard: “I’ve always loved London. I feel very at home here. I have a lot of friends and family here. I’ve made four movies here and will be making Avengers 2 here. I’m looking forward to that, I love this city. It’s very cosy in London.”
