Elton John had the reigning charity bash of awards season, taking home $5 million for his Elton John AIDS Foundation in just one evening.

The iconic musician’s 22nd annual Oscar night bash at Hollywood Park raised funds through generous sponsor support and an auction that saw prizes such a stay at Steven Tyler‘s Hawaii home and tickets to Neil Patrick Harris‘ Broadway show, Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Elton himself even tickled the ivories of a piano that he auctioned off for over $200,000 and which was signed by himself and writing partner Bernie Taupin.

The super-exclusive bash was generously sponsored by the likes of Audi, Chopard, MAC Cosmetics and Wells Fargo.
