Fortune International knows luxury. their latest project, Jade Signature, takes the famous Jade series of properties one step further by recruiting an all-star team of top designers and architects from around the world. Edgardo Defortuna is the President of Fortune International, which is both a luxury development firm and real estate agency. Defortuna explains how Jade Signature is challenging the status quo. “Before, the concern was about how nice the building looked from the outside without taking into consideration how the outside [would affect the interior space].”

Jade’s architects bucked the trend. “We really listened to what the customer wants,” he says. “You have to think of the person that lives there before you think about how the building looks on the outside. I believe it’s going be the next wave of designing residential buildings.”So they recuited Herzog & de Meuron, the Pritzker Prize award-winning architecture firm, to design the 57-story tower. The elegant high-rise will sit on a prime oceanfront lot in Sunny Isles Beach and feature soaring ceilings, expansive terraces and flow-through floor plans, giving units unparalleled views and the feeling of contemporary beach houses in the sky.

France’s Pierre-Yves Rochon’s design firm, PYR, has been tapped for sophisticated interiors. Rochon gives attention to every detail, down to the European designed Snaidero cabinetry. The third player on this special team is Miami landscape architect Raymond Jungles, who is creating a botanical journey that ties Jade Signature to the natural world. When the Jade is ready for move-in in 2016, the development will boast 192 residences, from one bedroom and two bathrooms to five bedroom units coming in at nearly 5,000 sq. ft. The $26 million penthouse encompasses the entire 56th floor and is a contemporary 10,500 sq. ft. residence with a 3,000 sq. ft. balcony. Unique penthouse features include a large private pool on the balcony, private gym room and 12 ft. ceilings with double height 24 ft. ceilings in living areas.

Three floors of impressive amenities include a full-floor fitness center and spa, which includes a detox juice bar and a coed hamam. On the beach level, the oceanfront resort deck features an organic freeform swimming pool, secluded cabanas and a 25-meter lap pool. “I am very proud to put this collaboration together,” Defortuna says. “Obviously, it’s a lot of work, but it’s such a pleasure. I am sure people are going to love living there.”
