I did a huge Valentine’s Day list and failed to add on foodie favorite Takashi. Hopefully there’s no love lost with fans of the award-winning restaurant with this spotlight on their culinary ode to amor. This Valentine’s Day, Chef Takashi Yagihashi is honoring the day of love and romance with a special Eight Course “Bleeding Heart” Tasting Menu at his four-time Michelin star winning restaurant Takashi (1952 North Damen). Offered Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15, this decadent menu ($110 per guest, optional wine pairing an additional $60 per guest) will feature Valentine’s Day inspired ingredients served in Takashi’s intimate and romantic dining room. And if you don’t want to wait until Valentine’s Day to go out and enjoy something from Chef Takashi Yagihashi, you can head to his other restaurant, The Slurping Turtle (116 West Hubbard), on February 5 for his return to the Top Chef stage as a judge. After being voted Fan Favorite on the fourth season of Top Chef Masters, Chef Takashi is being called back to serve as a judge on the finale of Top Chef Season 11, filmed in Hawaii and airing Wednesday, February 5 on Bravo. Joining Chef Takashi at the judges’ table will be Chef Masaharu Morimoto, owner of Morimoto Restaurant Group, Chef Paul Bartolotta, owner of Bartolotta Di Mare, Chef David Kinch, owner of Manresa along with series judges Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and Emeril Lagasse.

Top Chef fans are invited to watch the action at Slurping Turtle’s Top Chef Finale Viewing Party on the restaurant’s large movie-style screens. Additionally, Chef Takashi and Season 11 Contestant & Slurping Turtle Executive Chef Aaron Cuschieri will be preparing a special collaborative Hawaiian-inspired menu ($50 per person), including:
