Ho Ho Ho Trump Soho: Alicia Piazza
The holiday season can be very stressful. However, one cannot avoid the temptation of NYC for some shopping and holiday cheer. This year we spent our holidays at Trump Soho. What I love about this hotel is, well, the location…and much more. This luxury hotel delivers quality, with a laid-back downtown vibe. Think Upper East Side meets downtown chic. If you want a more relaxed feel with all the high-end perks, then Trump Soho is the place. This franchise truly understands all the needs of the seasoned traveler. From a business trip (spacious quarters, internet access, messenger service, conference rooms) to a family vacation (pet-friendly, spa, kids activities and a rooftop pool), this boutique hotel covers it all.
One of the features is the hotel’s dining experience. Koi, the hip sushi restaurant, has some of the most delicious, fresh food in the city and is available for room service as well. The restaurant has an excellent staff that is prompt and ready to please. The creative menu is truly extraordinary and the sake and wine lists are also exquisite. While it is usually difficult to get a reservation, as a guest it is right at your fingertips. The best part? You can get a little bit of nightlife at Koi without ever leaving your hotel, as drinks are served until 1 am.
The spa at Trump Soho is surprisingly large, and able to accommodate almost any request. During the summer months, the rooftop pool is open to guests and boasts a fabulous poolside menu and resort-like service. Another great thing about the hotel are the views of Hudson River, the Statue of Liberty, and the Freedom Tower. Try and request a corner room so you can see it all! For all this 5-star service and million-dollar views, the hotel is reasonably priced. I never leave feeling gouged. You are sure to rub elbows with celebrities and athletes, hence the paparazzi hovering around the hotel, but once inside…you feel like a rock star yourself.
