The 2014 Chicago Michelin Guide was released Tuesday and Chicago was well represented on the list. In fact, this year was the highest number of Chicago restaurants to get stars in the four-year history of the Chicago Michelin Guide, with 25 restaurants receiving at least one. Twenty earned one star, four earned two stars, and once again Alinea received the ultra-coveted three star designation. “It was a great year in Chicago,” said Michael Ellis, Michelin’s international director in charge of the guides. “There are a lot of really interesting things going on; there are great chefs out there, and the audience is out there; they really like innovation in Chicago.” The full list of restaurants and star designations is as follows:
