Zuhair Murad Presents Spring/Summer 14 Eveningwear at Saks Fifth Avenue Dubai

On 22 October, Saks Fifth Avenue presented an intimate show of acclaimed Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad’s Spring/Summer 14 eveningwear collection. The collection was inspired by the work of Russian pop artist Victor Vasarely and featured contrasting lines often with a leitmotif of geometric flowers to create stunning mosaics of modern and abstract objects.

The collection boasted a fantastic array of extravagant evening gowns as well as more attire that was more casual. More relaxed wear was found in the form of crepe and jersey lace cut-outs and fluid palazzo pants in silk mixtures paired with structured dynamic jackets, while dresses were design with layers of tulle, lace and macramé exuding great glamorous dimension and texture. The show concluded with a serenade to color – Prussian blue, mint, and red infused life and glamour into a muted palette of nude, black and white.
