Haute Event: de Grisogono Celebrates 20 Years with Lavish Fête at Ugo Colombo’s Estate
Italian jeweler Fawaz Gruosi of de Grisogono threw a Gatsby-worthy 20th Anniversary bash for the brand on the estate of good friends, developer Ugo and wife Sara Colombo. Miami’s A-list came out to celebrate the brand with drinks, dinner and dancing at the home that once belonged to Carl Fisher. Haute 100-listers who came out included Walid and Susie Wahab, Anthony and Alina Shriver, Jonathan and Criselda Breene, Jeff and Yolanda Berkowitz, as well as John Kunkel, Ken Gorin and Michael Capponi.
Guests took in the sparkling vitrines replete with jaw-dropping creations such as a colorful butterfly made with emeralds, amethyst and sapphires. Pinpoint lights played against the brand’s signature black and icy diamonds and timepieces drawing in viewers to each color-themed case.
After drinks, hor d’oeuvres and plenty of jewelry viewing, all 250 guests took a seat for a three-course dinner by Casa Tua and entertainment by the Goldsingers, a singing and dancing troupe who were flown in from France. Once the tiramisu was cleared, the socialites came out to play, creating their own dance party at the steps of the Colombo manse and a few… who will remain unnamed, taking to the poles supporting the tents!
When it was time to go home, guests were treated to a special gift as well as a mysterious key. One lucky party-goer will hold the key to a piece of de Grisogono jewelry picked by Mr Gruosi himself, they just have to take a trip to de Grisogono’s new Bal Harbour boutique to find out if theirs is the one. Looks like the beginning of a stellar social season indeed!
