On June 21, the Rolex Deepsea Challenge exhibition will open to the public through July 8. Mayors Jewelers in Aventura are hosting the exhibition, which is a special showcasing of the history of Rolex’s Deepsea watches for the first time in Florida.

The exhibition is devoted to the Deepsea Rolex watches, which was what legendary director James Cameron attached to the exterior of his submersible during his unprecedented solo dive to the ocean’s deepest point – 35,756 feet. The Rolex Deepsea Challenge defied extreme technical challenges, according to a press release, and opened a new chapter in deep-sea exploration.

Cameron said, “It’s a tremendous example of engineering know-how, and an ideal match for the Deepsea Challenger submersible.”

The Rolex Deepsea Challenge Exhibition is held in partnership with the National Geography Society. It will include interactive audio and visual displays and as a traveling exhibition, it will eventually move from Mayors Jewelers in Aventura to Mayors Jewelers in Orlando.

The exhibition will be open to the public from June 21 to July 8 during normal hours of operation for Mayors Jewelers.
