On August 15, Lakers star Kobe Bryant will sit down with late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel at the Nokia Theatre for the ‘Kobe Up Close’ charity event to raise funds toward ending homelessness in Los Angeles.

According to The Huffington Post, the special conversation charity event will include Bryant speaking with Kimmel about “his career and sharing some of his favorite stories.”

The charity event will raise money to benefit the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, which is “dedicated to improving the lives of youth and families in need, both domestically and globally.” According to the foundation’s website, it “strives to strengthen communities through education and cultural enrichment opportunities.”  The Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation has partnered with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Sports Spectacular to help “underserved communities.”

Tickets to ‘Kobe Up Close’ range from $25 to $200.
