Haute 100 New York Update: Hillary Clinton to Present CFDA Award to Oscar de la Renta
Hillary Clinton will reunite with her favorite fashion designer at tonight’s CFDA Awards. The former Secretary of State will present the CFDA Founder’s Award to her pal Oscar de la Renta. Clinton has donned De la Renta’s designs numerous times over the past several decades, including her 1997 inaugural ball, her 1998 Vogue cover, her daughter’s wedding in 2010 and the 2002 CFDA Awards.
After tonight’s fashion festivities, the pair are expected to stop by Henry Kissinger‘s 90th birthday party. According to Women’s Wear Daily, De la Renta was scheduled to receive his award at the end of the evening, but event organizers changed around the program so that he and Clinton make an early exit.
