Share Our Strength is determined to bring an end to childhood hunger in America with its’ No Kid Hungry campaign and it continues to pick up steam. The latest to have an event that will benefit this great cause is none other than #FoodieChats. #FoodieChats is a hashtag twitter chat every Monday at 7PM CST hosted by founder Steve Green. They are celebrating their 2-year anniversary with the theme “Food Trends.” The event will be hosted by Rockit Ranch Productions at Rockit Bar and Grill (22 West Hubbard) on Monday, May 13 from 5:30 to 8:30PM.
Tickets are $46, which includes a dinner that will be provided by Sunda, Ay Chiwowa, and Rockit Bar and Grill. Nothing better than being able to try three great restaurants all in one sitting. And you can wash all the delicious food down with the cocktails from Absolut that will be flowing all night. In case you are a sweets fan, and who isn’t, there will be a cotton candy station set-up courtesy of Spin-Spun. You get all of this while knowing that the proceeds from your ticket purchase will be benefiting No Kid Hungry and take pride in the fact that you are helping a tremendous cause. And if the ticket price of $46 seems strange, no need to wonder, it’s the cost of feeding one child for one year.
