Raise for the Roses
The University of Chicago’s Friends Against Aids will be holding a fundraiser next month benefitting the Care 2 Prevent (C2P) Program. Care 2 Prevent is a program that provides comprehensive care and prevention education for young people living with HIV/STI. Friends Against Aids will be bringing the Kentucky Derby to Chicago with “Raise for the Roses.”
Raise for the Roses will take place during Kentucky Derby Weekend, May 4to be exact. It will be held at Diag Bar & Grill (2856 North Southport Avenue) from 2PM to 6PM. This is the perfect event to have fun with by dressing up in your best Kentucky Derby attire. If you decided to attend, I suggest going all out and really getting into character. Ladies go out and get the biggest Kentucky Derby-style that you can find. Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and participate in a silent auction and raffle. Tickets are available online at www.RegOnline.com/Derby and are $100 for an individual tickets, $2,000 for a Jockey Table that seats 10 and $5,000 for an Owner’s Box, which is a private table decorated in the colors of a competing jockey and will feature your corporate logo. If you have any questions about the event, email [email protected], just don’t email him about floppy hat suggestions.
