Coach Hosts Shopping Soiree Benefitting the Children’s Defense Fund

On April 10, Coach hosted the 3^rd annual evening to benefit the Children’s Defense Fund with Katie McGrath, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk.

The evening took place from 7-10 p.m. at Bad Robot in Santa Monica and included cocktails and shopping. Coach also sold its Bleecker Beach Canvas Tote and Legacy Two Tone Universal Clutch and donated 10 percent of the profits to Children’s Defense Fund, a non-profit child advocacy organization that works to “ensure a level playing field for all children,” according to a press release. The Coach bags will be available in stores nationwide in May. Music for the evening was provided by D.J. Tendaji Lathan, with special guest D.J. Johnny Wujek.

Hosted by Katie McGrath, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk, the event was attended by a number of high-profile individuals, including Orlando Bloom, Sophia Bush, Sasha Alexander, Francois Arnaud, Conan O’Brien, Katy Perry, Ellen Pompeo, Samantha Ronson, Chloe Sevigny, Abigail Spencer, Ariel Winter, Mena Suvari, Amy Smart, Sarah Chalke, Justin Chatwin, Alice Eve, Rosario Dawson, and more.

The Children’s Defense Fund champions policies and programs that “life children out of poverty; protects them from abuse and neglect; and ensures their access to health care, quality education and a moral and spiritual foundation.”
