Chris Meloni Heads to Beverly Hills, Rents for $19,500 a Month

Law & Order: SVU actor Chris Meloni and his decorator wife, Sherman Williams-Meloni, have just rented a Beverly Hills home for approximately $19,500 per month. The 6,000-square-foot compound features four bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The 1929 Spanish villa is located in what is known as the Flats of Beverly Hills. Described as a “neighborhood” that is more physically flat that other areas of Beverly Hills like Trousdale Estates and Holmby Hills. The area borders Santa Monica Boulevard on the south and Sunset Boulevard on the north. Known as a “walking neighborhood,” Flats of Beverly hills features amenities in the nearby Platinum Triangle with world-class shopping, gourmet restaurants and some of the best hotels and spas in the world. The area contains homes of many styles, including traditional, Cape Cod and Tuscan-style estates.

The Meloni’s new Flats of Beverly Hills rental was designed by Ralph Flewelling and reportedly was once inhabited by silent screen actors Wallace Beery and Gloria Swanson. The two-story main house features a large foyer, powder room and stair hall. There are also three bedroom suites located upstairs, including a master with a restored vintage bathroom. The fourth bedroom is located downstairs and can be used by staff or as an office. Additional living space is available in separate guest houses.

Outside the home there is a “barrel-vaulted loggia and numerous trellis” in addition to terraces and plenty of space for outdoor living. The landscaped garden includes fountains, more terraces and a rectangular swimming pool and spa.

The home is currently owned by Tony-winning and Emmy-nominated actor/dancer/theater director Grover Dale.

According to Real Estalker, the Meloni’s recently flipped their 8,600-square-foot New Canaan, CT country estate and listed it for $4,750,000.
